Though the Crimes Against Persons Section
is one of the best homicide units in the country, unfortunately there
are still a number of cases which remain unsolved and which are referred
to as “COLD CASES”. These cases continue to be investigated and CAP
always keeps its eyes and ears open for any new information which
may develop in these cases. Some of the more recent and high profile
cases are listed below:

| SUMMARY: The victim was found by an acquaintance
at approximately 8am in the 5700 block of East Yandell.
His body was found outside of his house in the front yard.
The victim had been stabbed. The murder took place in a
business/residential type area. There are only 4 houses
in the entire block and the rest of the buildings are businesses.
The area was checked for witnesses and evidence. Due to
the fact that there are mostly businesses in the area, no
witnesses were found. The only evidence found was a shoe
print that was sent off to the FBI to be checked. The only
items found missing from the scene was possibly a telephone
and the victim’s wallet. The wallet was later recovered
about ¼ mile from the scene. |

the garage door as it had been found open by the deceased’s
husband. The residence showed signs of a struggle, but no
