Application Process
The application process for the 2010 season has officially closed. MCAD will begin to accept applications for the 2011 season from August 2-October 29, 2010. Application forms can be downloaded as a PDF from this site during this period.

Music Under the Stars
Bringing the World's Music to El Paso
Location: Chamizal National Memorial
Dates: Sunday evenings, June 13 to August 15 in 2010
Time: 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM
Cost: Free
No glass containers allowed. No Pets Allowed
Entering our 25th Silver Season, Music Under the Stars World Music Festival, has become one of El Paso's premier family events and one of the largest free music festivals in Texas. Boasting performances by both internationally acclaimed and local artists, Music Under the Stars' 2008 season will feature evenings of Rock Classics, Swing, Jazz, Flamenco, German Folk, and Latin Reggae.
Certain visiting artists will give free master classes, fostering El Paso's budding musicians. The upcoming season will feature a "4th of July Spectacular" with a patriotic concert by the El Paso Symphony Orchestra and a closing fireworks display.

Alfresco! Fridays
Location: Arts festival Plaza, adjacent to the Plaza Theatre and El Paso Museum of Art
Dates: Friday evenings, from April to August in 2010

No Outside Food or Beverages Allowed. No Pets Allowed.
In 2010, Alfresco! Friday’s enters its 8th season. Alfresco Friday’s provides a casual way to experience some of the best established and upcoming local bands. Originally conceived as a way of keeping employees downtown at the start of the weekend, the concerts quickly became a draw for visitors to downtown. The upcoming season will feature Big Band Jazz, Reggae, Classic Rock, Ska, Blues and more. The upcoming season will also feature an Artist Market, providing local artists and artisans a venue to connect with the community.
