Friends of the Northeast Library
The Friends of the Northeast Library bookstore is located at 8801 Railroad (the Northeast Optimists Club building) next to Nations Tobin Park.

The bookstore hours are: Tuesday, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.; Saturday, 11:00 – 3:00 p.m.; Sunday, 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.

They also have two-day end-of-week sales in the Richard Burges Branch Library approximately every two months.

Call the library at (915) 759-2406 for more information.

Donated materials that are suitable for re-sale, such as books, recent magazines, and DVDs, are accepted at the Richard Burges Branch Library during operating hours. The Friends are always looking for volunteers. Please come to a book sale or ask a library staff member if you are interested in joining the Friends support the library’s programs.

Computer Lab / Laboratorio de Computadoras
Our computer lab has twenty-six computers available for public use. Everyone must have a Library Card and PIN to use the computers. Minors MUST obtain Library card with parental consent sticker. The computer lab closes 15 minutes before closing time. Please call 759-2406 for more information.

Directions for the Richard Burges Library
     
From the Westside, Central and Eastside using Highway 54:
     
  Take Highway 54 north. Exit on Diana Drive. At the intersection of Diana and Dyer, turn left. Go north for about a mile on Dyer Street. Turn right on Will Ruth Avenue. The library is immediately on the left hand side. From the Eastside using Loop 375

Take Loop 375 North. Exit on Dyer Street. At the intersection of Dyer and Trans-Mountain Road, turn left. Go south for about a mile on Dyer Street. Turn left on Will Ruth Avenue. The library is immediately on the left hand side. From the Westside using Trans-Mountain Road

Take the Trans-Mountain Road. Stay on the far right side and do not enter Loop 375. At the intersection of Trans-Mountain Road and Dyer Street, turn right. Go south on Dyer for about a mile. Turn left on Will Ruth Avenue. The library is immediately on the left hand side.
