Latinitas
Girls ages 9 to 18 meet weekly on Monday’s from 4:00 – 5:00 pm
Latinitas is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement and empowerment of Latina youth. The mission is to empower Latina youth to succeed through afterschool media and technology clubs. The vision is to provide a space where Latina youth has a voice, to foster positive images and empower Latina girls to accept and appreciate themselves.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Library, our book sale is held on the first Saturday of every month.

The Friends’ Book Store is located inside the Judge Marquez Branch Library and is open every Tuesday from 4:00 - 6:00 pm and every Saturday from 1:00 - 5:00 pm.  /  La tienda de libros de los Amigos de la Biblioteca esta abierta para ventas de libros cada martes de las 4:00 - 6:00 pm y cada sábado de 1:00 - 5:00 pm.

Directions to the Judge Edward S. Marquez Mission Valley Branch Library
From the North:
  Get on 54, until it connects with I-10. Go East on I-10. Take the Yarbrough cutoff. Go South (turn right on Yarbrough.) Head south past Bel Air High School until you get to San Paulo on your left.
The library is located on the corner of Yarbrough and San Paulo.
From the South:
  Get to Yarbrough. Go north (toward the freeway.) Pass through the intersection at Carolina.  The library will be on your right before you reach Bel Air High School on the corner of Yarbrough and San Paulo.
From the East:
  Head West on I-10 until you reach the Yarbrough cutoff. Turn left (south) on Yarbrough.  Head south past Bel Air High School until you get to San Paulo on your left.  The library is located on the corner of Yarbrough and San Paulo.

South of I-10, head West on North Loop or Alameda. For North Loop, continue until you hit Yarbrough.  From Alameda continue until you hit Yarbrough.  Go north (toward the freeway.) Pass through the intersection at Carolina.  The library will be on your right before you reach Bel Air High School on the corner of Yarbrough and San Paulo.
From the West:
  Take the Yarbrough cutoff. Go South (turn right on Yarbrough.) Head south past Bel Air High School until you get to San Paulo on your left.  The library is located on the corner of Yarbrough and San Paulo.
