One of the most important services that Congressman Reyes provides as a U.S. Representative in Congress is to help individuals who may need assistance dealing with federal government agencies or programs. Although he cannot override the decisions made by a federal agency, he can often act on a person's behalf to get questions answered, help find solutions to various problems, or just cut through red tape.
Representatives from the Congressman’s staff will be available to meet with residents who may need assistance with federal agencies or programs including: federal student financial aid and loans; housing; foreclosure prevention; immigration concerns; Internal Revenue Service matters; worker compensation claims; small business concerns; veterans benefits claims; passport services; postal service issues; Medicare benefits; Social Security benefits; visas, and others.

Constituents may be asked to provide a “release of information” form before caseworkers can assist them in federal matters. The form is available on
www.reyes.house.gov Individuals are also required to provide a brief written description of their problem or concern. Additional information and documentation may be required depending on an individual’s unique situation. Assistance in Spanish is also available.
