National Preparedness Month

Take the Pledge to Prepare.

National Preparedness Month is sponsored by the Ready campaign in partnership with Citizen Corps and the Ad Council. It’s designed to encourage Americans to take simple steps to prepare for emergencies in their homes, businesses and communities.

El Pasoans are urged to take the “Pledge to Prepare,” participate in Preparedness Month activities and register for the new Emergency Notification service. Please join the team and truly help yourself, your neighbors and your community to be Ready.

1) Get a Kit. Have emergency supplies available.
2) Make a Plan. Learn and practice new skills.
3) Be Informed. Know what may happen and how you can help.
4) Get Involved. Start or join a volunteer team.
